Point of View
It is thought Scots viewed William Wallace as the savior of Scotland from the domination of the British. The named him “Braveheart”.
On the other hand, the British viewed him as a coldhearted murderer who ethnically cleansed the North Border area allowing for Scottish settlers to inhabit it.
KING EDWARD 1277 – 1307
The Scots viewed King Edward as one of the vilest, treacherous tyrants ever known. They held him responsible for ravaging Edinburgh for the theft of Scotland’s Holy Stone of Scon.
