James Ross House

Engineer James Ross born in Scotland in 1848 worked on the completion of the Canadian Pacific Railway through the Canadian Rocky mountains.

George Stephen House

1440 Drummond Street, Montreal, Quebec
The building is now home to a private club. It was owned by George Stephen a banking and railway magnate.

Claude de Ramezay

The Chateau of the 11th Governor of Montreal, Claude de Ramezay stands across the street from Montreal’s City Hall. The fact that it is still standing is conceivably due to Scotsman William Grant who purchased it in 1763 and kept it in good condition.

John Auld

John Auld Jr. inherited his father’s old house when his father died. Since the late nineteen hundreds (1984), the building is the head office for the Cossette Communication Marketing firm.

The Amherst House

Lieut. Colonel J.A.L. Strathy, commanded our Highland regiment from 1893 to 1897 named his home “Amherst House”. The Amherst House, a freestone house is located on Cote des Neiges Street in Montreal.
