My Cape Breton Home

July 8, 2009

‘Round the scenes of my childhood fond memories cling,
While of’ times great stories of other lands sing
Some sing of the grandeur of Italy and Rome
But they say not a word of my Cape Breton Home.

Oh Go where you will on land or on sea,
The home of my childhood remembered shall be
God’s blessings rest on it where ever I roam
I shall never forget it My Cape Breton Home.

The above lines are from a song I learned as a youth. Unfortunately, I cannot find a recorded copy. If you know where I can find it please let me know. I’d greatly appreciate it.
