Point St. Charles Annual “Joe Beef Market”, in Montreal

August 23, 2009

On Saturday, September 12th, The PSC Community Theatre (dressed in period costumes) and the Point History Society will present their 2nd annual “Joe Beef Market” at the Joe Beef Park on Centre & Richmond Sts. in Point St. Charles. Each year we hope to honour someone with a street named after them in the Point. This year our event will honour John Richardson – an interesting historical character that was involved in building the Lachine Canal; The Montreal General Hospital; the Bank of Montreal; The Montreal Board of Trade and many other activities that are still visible in Montreal almost 200 years later.
This year we plan to have both Joe Beef & John Richardson on hand, plus many other exhibitors and events. Last year we also had about 30 booths of Artisans that were selling their various goods and services. The cost of renting a booth is $25.00.
If you have an interest in renting a booth for the day, you can get additional details and contact information by visiting our theatre web site at www.psccommunity.com or by emailing info@psccommunity.com
