Robert Adam

Born in Kirkcaldy, July 03, 1728 dec. 1792, Robert was one of Scotland’s greatest architects.
He began his career as apprentice to his father, William Adam a master architect
Robert was known for his interest in interior detail of buildings. This can be seen
in Edinburgh University’s Old College, and parts of the city’s Charlotte Square. He designed Culzean Castle, Ayrshire, in a romantic, neo-Gothic style.
