Scottish Dumplings

1 1/2 cups flour
3 teaspoon Baking Powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
3/4 cup milk
1 teaspoon butter (optional)
1 teaspoon parsley
salt and pepper

Method:
Sift flour, add baking powder, salt, parsley, salt & pepper, cut in the butter. Make a well in the center. Pour in the milk. Gently mix with a fork. Drop by tablespoon onto gently boiling stew. Allow dough to rest on meat and vegetables. Tightly cover and steam for approximately 15 minutes. Makes about 12 medium sized dumplings.
