Gaelic Lesson with Suzanne Beaton

English: “The biggest news of this year is the smallest news next year”.

(Literal translation of the Gaelic: “The news largest the year; the least of next year.”)

Gaelic:  “An naidheachd as motha am blidhna, ‘s i as lugha an ath-bhlidhna.”

Sounds like:      “uh NAY-och as MOE-ah am BLEE-an-uh;  see-ah “LOO-ah” own* ath BLEE-an-uh.

*own – “ow” as in “how”
