Strathclyde Area

From September 30th 2002 concessionary bus travel within the Strathclyde area will be free after 9:00 am weekend and on national public holidays. This service is for resident concessionary card holders only. Train journeys will cost 40 p. and card holders can also travel free on their local ferries.

The Strathclyde concessionary travel scheme is funded by the Scottish Executive and the 12 local councils: Argyll and Bute, East Ayrshire, East Dunbartonshire, East Renfrewshire, Glasgow, Inverclyde, North Ayrshire, North Lanarkshire, Renfrewshire, South Ayrshire, South Lanarkshire and West Dunbartonshire.
