The 2009 Boston Folk Festival returns…as an Indoor event!

The Boston Folk Festival returns — for the weekend of September 12 & 13, again to be held at the UMass Boston campus. The 2009 Festival will have a Saturday night songwriting contest, and an all day Sunday event with multiple stages. This year’s all-indoor Festival will be a more intimate event than we’ve ever had before.

Songwriting Contest Deadline extended until July 20th! Applications are now being accepted through July 6th for entries to the Boston Folk Festival annual Songwriting Contest.. More info and the application form can be found here

Drive, or take the MBTA to the Festival Getting to the Boston Folk Festival couldn’t be easier. By car, the UMass Boston Campus is only a mile off Interstate 93. It’s Exit 14 (from the South) or Exit 15 (from the North). By MBTA, take the Red Line to the JFK/UMass Boston stop and take the free shuttle bus to the campus and the special bus stop for the Festival.
