It is with great sadness that we, the family, announce the passing of Wilbert Brian Stubbert (Uncle Will), on Monday, April 26, 2010, at theVictoriaGeneralHospital,Halifax, surrounded by his loving family.

Wilbert was born in Point Aconi, on May 24, 1952.

He was the son of the late Robert S. andRegina(Roland) Stubbert. He was an adherent member ofClyde Avenue,BaptistChurch, Sydney Mines.

Wilbert worked for the Department of Transportation, but his true passion was lobster fishing, which he began at a very young age with his father, and he continued fishing until he became ill.

Wilbert is survived by his loving companion and best friend, Debbie; son, Mikie (Carol), Edmonton; daughters, Laura Leah (Glenn), Florence, Chrissy (Krista), Edmonton; grandchildren, Julian, Braedyn, Adrianna, J.R., Shayna and Shane. He is also survived by one brother, Byron (Donna), Point Aconi; sisters, Margaret (Francis) Gracie, Mill Creek, Alice (Ray) MacNeil, Millville, Brenda Stubbert (Wendell), Sydney Mines, Elva (Tony) Robinson, Bedford, Wena (Billy), Point Aconi. Also several loving nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank the nurses and staff of ICU at theVictoriaGeneralHospital,Halifax.

Visitation for Wilbert Stubbert will be held Thursday, April 29 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. in J.M. Jobes Funeral Home,635 Main St.,SydneyMines. The funeral service will be held Friday at 11 a.m. inClydeAvenueBaptistChurchwith Rev. David Hopper and Rev. Frank Guinta officiating. Burial to take place inPointAconiCemetery.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the IWK Children’s Hospital or the Canadian Cancer Society.
